# Introduction

Welcome to the **Red Bricks API** — programmatic access to Canada's most
comprehensive pre-construction real-estate dataset: 6,000+ projects with live
pricing, inventory, floor plans, documents, and more.

## Base URL

```
https://api.redbricks.ca/api/v1
```

Requests to earlier Red Bricks hostnames continue to work.

## What's here

* **[Authentication](/reference/authentication-reference)** — how to authenticate with a
  bearer API key, scopes, plan tiers, errors, and rate limits. Start here.
* **Projects & Data** — core endpoints for projects, floor plans, developers,
  cities, neighbourhoods, prices, incentives, and documents.
* **Optimized Endpoints** — slimmed-down responses tuned for specific UI views
  (map pins, cards, search autocomplete, aggregations, similar projects, floor
  plan summaries) — 70–98% smaller payloads.
* **Fusion APIs** — premium endpoints that bridge pre-construction and MLS data:
  the **Building Link API** (resolve a project to its canonical MLS building
  address) and the **Floor Plan Match API** (match an MLS listing to the most
  likely floor plan). Available on Pro and Elite plans.
* **[Document Intelligence (PDF Search)](/reference/document-intelligence-reference)** —
  MCP tools that search the buried text inside project PDFs (brochures, features
  & finishes, incentives, price lists). Available on Pro and Elite plans.

## Authentication in one line

```bash
curl https://api.redbricks.ca/api/v1/projects/cards \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer rb_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
```

See **[Authentication](/reference/authentication-reference)** for the full details.
